Self Control & Kindness

Jul 20, 2025    Minister Daniel, Minister Tammy Castellanos

In our exploration of the fruits of the Spirit, we delve into the profound concept of self control and kindness. This isn't mere niceness, but a God-given gift that requires intentional effort and action. Colossians 3:12 reminds us to 'dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you,' including compassion and kindness. Just as we choose our daily attire, we must consciously choose to put on kindness each day. The parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) beautifully illustrates how true kindness takes action, often coming from unexpected sources. This story challenges us to look beyond our comfort zones and prejudices, showing compassion to all. As we cultivate kindness, we're reminded that our actions can have eternal impacts, potentially changing lives in ways we may never fully comprehend. Let's reflect on how we can nurture this fruit of the Spirit in our lives, allowing God's kindness to flow through us and touch others in meaningful ways.
