Guarding my Love
In our journey through life, love plays a pivotal role. Yet, without the wisdom of God, our relationships can easily spin out of control. This is where the concept of guardrails becomes crucial. Far from being restrictive, these boundaries are actually a blessing - serving as protective measures for health, truth, respect, and love. The Bible speaks profoundly about love, particularly in 1 Corinthians 13. This famous "love chapter" paints a beautiful picture of what true love looks like: patient, kind, not jealous, not boastful or arrogant. It doesn't act disgracefully, seek its own benefit, or keep a record of wrongs. True love rejoices in truth, not unrighteousness. It believes, hopes, and endures all things. Remember, God chose to love us despite our flaws and past mistakes. Shouldn't we extend the same grace to others? It's our duty, our "ought to," to love others because God first loved us.
