Commitment - Parents Guide
Here's a parents guide with conversation-starting questions for each day of the week based on the sermon:
Monday:
Question: What does it mean to you to have a "fresh start," and how can we make this new year special?
Purpose: To encourage kids to think about new beginnings and how they can approach the year with positivity and intention.
Tuesday:
Question: Can you think of something that seemed difficult at first, but turned out well in the end?
Purpose: To help kids reflect on past experiences and understand that struggles can lead to growth and beauty.
Wednesday:
Question: What do you think God sees when He looks at you?
Purpose: To facilitate a discussion about self-worth and how they are valued as unique creations.
Thursday:
Question: How can we stay committed to our goals and promises when things get tough?
Purpose: To talk about perseverance and commitment and encourage kids to remain focused even when challenges arise.
Friday:
Question: What’s one thing you feel God is shaping in your life right now?
Purpose: To prompt kids to consider how their lives are being molded and to trust the process of growth and change.
These questions aim to open meaningful dialogues between parents and children about new beginnings, self-value, commitment, and trusting the process of transformation.
