Family or Just Blood - Relationship Status - Parents Guide
Here's a parents' guide for engaging with your kids based on the themes from this sermon. Each question is designed for a day, Monday through Friday:
Monday: Understanding Relationships
Question: What does being a friend or part of a family mean to you? How can you tell if someone is a true friend or family member?
Tuesday: Building Trust
Question: Have you ever been surprised by someone who turned out to be a great friend? How did you realize they were someone you could trust?
Wednesday: Importance of Communication
Question: Why do you think it’s important to talk about problems instead of ignoring them? Can you share a time you had an honest conversation that helped improve a situation?
Thursday: Exploring Your Circle
Question: Who are some people outside of our family that feel like family to you? What makes them feel that way?
Friday: Embracing Differences
Question: How do you handle it when you feel different from others around you? What can we learn from welcoming people who are different from us into our lives?
These questions are crafted to help kids reflect on their relationships, understand the importance of communication, and appreciate the diverse connections they can form with others.
